What is Ceylon cinnamon?

Ceylon cinnamon comes from Cinnamomum verum. It is recognisable by its fine, layered bark and delicate quill structure and is distinct from the thicker bark commonly sold as cassia cinnamon.

Where do Lucida Spices products come from?

Our launch Ceylon cinnamon and black pepper products are grown and processed in Sri Lanka.

Is Lucida Ceylon cinnamon organic?

No. We do not currently market this range as organic.

How do I use Ceylon cinnamon powder?

Try it in coffee, porridge, smoothies, French toast, banana bread, apple desserts, baking and savoury dishes. Start with a small amount and adjust to your taste.

How do I use cinnamon quills?

Quills are ideal for infusing. Add them to tea, coffee, poached fruit, sauces, curries, rice dishes, braises or slow-cooked recipes, then remove before serving when appropriate.
